Cengiz Karlıova was born in 1954 in Istanbul. He met photography at his father's photography studio when he was a child, and made photography as a way of life. He became one with the photograph and he began to live in the depth of the colors and lights that the photograph added to his life, the recorded moment that left a mark in his life every time he touched the shutter. After high school education in 1972, he started to work professionally in the photography studio that bears his name. Photographer Karlıova, who has been working on photography for more than forty years, now spends some of his time educating students. Photography is still an important part of his life and he continues his work on photography actively. ▪ In addition to solo exhibitions, he also participated in many group photography exhibitions with his works. ▪ he received more than 100 awards in domestic and international competitions. ▪ he participated in many events related to the art of photography in Turkey and internationally. He took tourism and promotional photos in many countries abroad. ▪ His photographs were published in many national and international publications. ▪ In Istanbul Modern's photography collection and Ist. His photographs are in the Museum of Photography. ▪ He has the title of ARAP. ▪ He is an honorary member of IFSAK. ▪ he is one of the founders of Fotogen Photography Association. He thinks that photography can only be produced with aesthetic concerns as much as it is a document, and that photography and the art of photography are one of the rare branches of art that can respond to the rapidly changing and developing age with the same speed in every aspect.
